We're surrounded by people broadcasting themselves in one way or another. The advances in technology and communications have brought about what some are calling the 'pro-sumer', the producer - consumer. It's an interesting confusion of two traditionally quite separate roles and something that is addressed quite directly in this project, I believe.

It appears that now everything, including unmediated daily life, is art. I wonder at what level this offers any thing new? A critical thought? The fact that it is happening is perhaps not surprising the artist embracing reality transmission but I would wish you wouldn't do it under the name of art - it makes it so much harder for those of us that think art is a bit more than just broadcasting

Yes.
It is also a great lessen in letting go of ego and control.... which creeps in with the needing to be 'on/look good/be entertaining/ be cheerful' etc.... the list goes on.

Trusting in being who you are in that moment and it being accepted by our nearest and dearest when not up to our own perceptions of how we wish to be 'seen' ( often deeply subconcious).

Random slightly personal questions that it made me want to ask - you say you are scared of the operation, do you think turning the surgery into part of a performance/artwork a way of dealing with that fear and taking control of the situation? It is helping?
